Installation Guide for Yanbixin Power Supply Filter
A well designed and manufactured power filter may also reduce its suppression ability to EMI signals due to improper installation. The installation of power filter must not be careless. Please refer to the following suggestions for correct installation.
1): Reduce grounding impedance
In order to reduce the grounding impedance, the filter should be installed on the conductive metal surface or connected to the grounding point through the braided grounding belt to avoid the large grounding impedance caused by the slender grounding wire.
2): The filter should be installed at the entrance/exit of the equipment as far as possible.
Installation position should be close to the entrance of the power line to filter out the electromagnetic interference along the power line as far as possible.
3): Avoid electromagnetic coupling
Generally speaking, when installing EMI filters in electronic devices or systems, it should be noted that when binding equipment cables, the wires at the filter (power) end and (load) end must not be tied together, because this undoubtedly increases the electromagnetic coupling between the input and output of the filter. It seriously damages the suppression ability of EMI signal by filter and equipment shielding.

5 Inspection
Check the connection and installation of each position of the filter before power-on. Pay special attention to the connection of grounding wires. After checking correctly, power-on operation can be completed.
